I had an incredible time working on rebel moon through Weta Dev. My good friend Nicole Letlaw brought me on to the project. Always a pleasure working with her and the team. The Griffin was one of two assignments I got on the show. It was a really exciting challenge. I very rarely get the opportunity to design more subtle and grounded creatures. I knew this design was going to be scrutinized and decided to build everything in ZBrush, so that we could look at it at every angle. I was able to do the majority of the feather work using fiber mesh. I've never taken some thing this far in fiber mesh before, but it worked nicely.
