The Boroughs Kids designs!!! I’m very excited to share these final kids designs that I did for Netflix’s the Boroughs . This was one of the most artistically fulfilling jobs I think I’ve ever had. I got to work very closely with insanely talented show creators/runners Jeff Addiss and Will Mathews . After reading one of the best pilot scripts I’ve ever read, I got on a zoom call with these guys and we talked through the look for the Kids. It was a great conversation. They instantly created a space where I felt comfortable and free to share my ideas. This was the most productive zoom call I think I’ve ever been on and by the time it wrapped, I had a very clear picture of what these creatures would be. Once I got the OK from the amazing Mary- Margaret Kunze, I hit the ground running and started sketching. This was by far one of the greatest teams I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with and as a bonus, the show is amazing! Being able to take these designs this far was also really fulfilling. Once the design was approved, I even got to work with one of the best practical effects houses in the industry Steve Wang’s. The work they did on the show was phenomenal. Steve Wang is an absolute legend and I’ve always wanted to work with him on a big monster project. Dream come true!
