After the sketch phase, I continued to send work in progress shots of the model to show runners / creators Jeff Addiss and Will Matthews. I’d get notes and we’d talk through the design. Each time I got feedback it gave me the opportunity to refine the model. The great thing about designing in 3-D is that that model can be used to start the practical and visual effects processes. This is the model that I handed over to Steve Wang and his incredible team at the Onyx Forge. Steve himself then took my model and refined the sculpt before 3-D printing. The process of building this guy practically was extensive and I’m looking forward to posting more about that and crediting all of the amazing artists involved.
