The Burroughs has climbed to 97% on rotten tomatoes! Well deserved! These are my very first sketches for the Kids of the Boroughs. I usually do a couple of passes before I get this close to the final look of a creature design. After our first zoom meeting with creators / show runners Jeff Addiss and Will Matthews we had found a pretty solid direction. I remember being able to see the creature so vividly before I started to draw. That pilot script really spelled it out. I love the sketch phase! The full body didn’t change that much, but the Head did. It was in the ballpark, but another round of sketches was enough to “ok” refining the design in 3D.
