Here are some early Kalisk designs for Predator Badlands. I got a lot of time to sketch on this show. Big thank you to the WETA team and Nicole Letaw for bringing me on board. I got to explore a lot of ideas on this one and if possible I always prefer to start designing in 2D. It's so much faster when it comes to exploring different ideas. I find when working with directors drawing is a great way to create a ton of options and problem solve. There were a lot of ideas being explored early on for this creature, so I didn't start working in 3-D until I felt/was told we were all on the same page. Badlands was a great show and it'll definitely stand out as a career highlight for me. Very grateful to be a part of it.
